Update to website - Added RSS feeds for topics and prizes. Just click 'follow' and then 'RSS' to subscribe or click the RSS icon displayed in some browser address bars

Update to website - I'm pretty sure I finally fixed the compatibility issues with older version of Internet Explorer. There was a known bug that caused some elements to disappear on the page which I was able to fix. Also addressed other minor rendering differences between browsers. If you notice anything out of place, please post here or on the 'usability and bugs' topic.

News - Open Science Initiative is now officially in 'Public' beta and no longer in 'Private' beta. That means that you do not need an invitation key to join and anyone can sign up by going to www.opsci.org/signup

New feature to website - I updated Collections so that you can now 'Subscribe via email' to receive emails when someone add something to or comments on a collection. I also added RSS feeds for collections. To access the RSS feed, just go to the collection, click 'Follow' and then click 'RSS' (or some browsers have an RSS autolocate icon in the address bar which also works).

If you have any feedback on these features, please let me know.

Update to website - New feature: you can now add any item you like from within collections. You can add any object within opens science or an external link including websites, digital object identifiers (doi:...), or pubmed id's (pmid:...)

Update to website - Added ability to sort topics by 'recent activity', 'latest', 'most followed', 'most rated'. 'Latest' will sort based on when the topic was created while 'recent activity' will sort based on when that topic was last updated or commented on. I will be adding this feature to sorting other items on the site soon.

New feature to website - Added 'Getting Started' guide. You can access it from a shortcut on the top left of the page with the same name. It gives an overview of what Open Science Initiative is about to help users get going. Feel free to let us know how you think we can improve the guide. Most of the topics that are referenced on the guide are still in development so they won't actually describe a whole lot at this time... but we're working on it.

New feature to the website - You can now 'subscribe via email' to topics that you follow. You will then receive an email when someone posts a comment on that topic so that you can always stay up to date on the topics that are most important to you. Of course, you can also just 'follow' a topic and receive those updates in your 'activity stream' located in your dashboard. I will work on adding email updates when people add references to the topic soon...
